Travel Planning Tip: Detroit Metro Airport is an hour away from the Marriott in Pontiac, so please keep this in mind when scheduling your flight arrival and departure times.

Arrivals
The Transportation Committee plans to take you by van to the Marriott in Pontiac as soon we can after your arrival at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Because individual travel plans vary a great deal; we plan to make two or three passenger pick ups each day. To help us refine our plan, we would like you to complete an online Transportation Request FORM. A passenger pick-up schedule will be posted on the Symposium web site around March 15th. If you need to make contact with the Transportation Committee by phone to arrange for pickup, call Norm Raymond at (248) 302-5607. The Transportation Committee will be prepared to begin pick up operations on Sunday, 27MAR for early arrivals, and continue through the end of the symposium. Departure drop offs will be available through 4APR. Wednesday is another big arrival day and the Transportation Committee will be available as needed. We plan to also make four or five trips Wednesday. If you cannot find a driver in a working blue/ODU uniform after you pick up your luggage, you may call (248) 302-5607 and request assistance. Transportation schedules for your departure will be provided to you by your driver or before you register at the hotel. PLEASE NOTE: Since we are using government vehicles, only Auxiliary members can be transported. If you have non-members in your party you will need to use commercial transportation.

If you have a flight cancellation, please call Norm Raymond at (248) 302-5607 and we will make every effort to accommodate your new arrival time and get you to the Marriott.

Departures
We know Sunday, April 3rd will be a busy day for the transportation committee. It is very important you complete a transportation request in advance; we don’t want to leave any one at the curb.
