Consider Amtrak for Traveling to the Symposium
According to Mr. Michael Carr Sr., a former Division Commanders from 9CR, an economical and relaxing way to travel to the Combined 9th District Training Symposium in Pontiac is by Amtrak. Mike even obtained a 10% discount for Auxiliarist's who travel to Pontiac via Amtrak, and he also identified train routes to Pontiac, Michigan.

To view the details of the discount view CONV_LTR1 & CONV_LTR2.

If you have over twenty people in your party, Amtrak will add another car and you can have your own private car for your trip. Amtrak will require advanced notification of your plans.
